Autel AutoLink AL329 is a compact and easy-to-use OBDII/EOBD code reader designed for engine management diagnostics. It is ideal for quickly checking engine fault codes, identifying the cause of the Check Engine light, and checking the status of emissions-related monitoring systems.

AL329 connects directly to the vehicle's standard 16-pin OBDII diagnostic connector and is powered through the vehicle connection, so no separate batteries or charging are required.

The dedicated One-Click I/M Readiness button provides a fast check of emissions monitor status. Color-coded LED indicators make the results easy to interpret, making the tool particularly useful before an emissions inspection or vehicle test.

Features

  • OBDII / EOBD diagnostics — Designed for engine diagnostics on OBDII- and EOBD-compliant vehicles.
  • Read fault codes — Reads stored and pending engine diagnostic trouble codes.
  • Erase fault codes — Clears DTCs and turns off the Check Engine light once the underlying fault has been repaired.
  • Live Data — Displays real-time engine management parameters.
  • Freeze Frame — Displays operating conditions recorded when a fault code was stored.
  • One-Click I/M Readiness — Quickly checks emissions monitor readiness status.
  • Color-coded LED indicators — Red, yellow, and green LEDs provide quick interpretation of I/M Readiness results.
  • MIL Status — Checks Malfunction Indicator Lamp status.
  • O2 Sensor Monitor Test — Displays oxygen sensor monitoring information where supported.
  • On-Board Monitor Test — Displays test results for other emissions-related monitors.
  • Vehicle Information — Displays VIN, CIN, and CVN information where supported.
  • All 10 OBDII test modes — Supports the standardized OBDII diagnostic test modes.
  • CAN compatible — Supports OBDII vehicles using CAN communication.
  • Plug & Play — Powered directly through the vehicle OBDII connector.

I/M Readiness

The dedicated One-Click I/M Readiness button provides a quick overview of emissions monitor status.

Color-coded LEDs make results easy to understand:

  • Green — Monitors are ready and no emissions-related faults are detected.
  • Yellow — One or more monitors may not be ready or further checking may be required.
  • Red — An emissions-related DTC is detected and the Check Engine light may be active.

This function is particularly useful before an emissions inspection or vehicle test.

Compatibility

AL329 is designed for OBDII- and EOBD-compliant vehicles.

It supports standard OBDII communication protocols including:

  • ISO 9141-2
  • ISO 14230-4 KWP
  • ISO 15765-4 CAN
  • SAE J1850 PWM

Please note

  • AL329 is an OBDII/EOBD engine code reader and is not an all-systems diagnostic tool.
  • It primarily diagnoses emissions-related engine management and does not provide manufacturer-specific diagnostics for systems such as ABS, airbag, transmission, or body electronics.
  • Clearing a fault code does not repair the underlying fault.
  • Function availability depends on vehicle OBDII support.
  • The tool is powered directly through the vehicle OBDII connector and does not require a separate battery.
